2011 has seen another great lambing at Alma. Maiden ewes lambed up to 102%, and older ewes, all unscanned, produced large, sappy lambs at up to 118%.

The high fertility of Alma merinos is not limited to good seasons however. Alma merinos demonstrate their high fertility even in trying dry conditions. In the recent drought years, Alma ewes regularly lambed at over 95%.
