Alma Update

2008 Alma Sale Rams Preview Day Thursday 11 September;
Rams available from Thursday 25 September.
This year we have equal numbers of horned and poll Merino rams available.
The fertility of the Alma Merino genetics continues to achieve with maiden ewes lambing at around 90% in 2008. Those paddocks lucky enough to receive a storm earlier in the year have produced the best lambs we have seen for 10 years! Lively lambs and ewes, July 2008
Alma blood Merinos are fertile and productive, in even the driest of conditions.

Alma Merinos

Alma is a Merino stud, located on the saltbush plains north of Hay in south-western New South Wales.

Alma Merinos are bred for the pastoral zones of western NSW. Alma rams are large-framed, having outstanding fertility, and carry a soft-handling medium wool. This ensures that Alma-blood sheep are sought after by buyers, at sheep sales and on property.
